Instead of trying to eliminating fast food from your diet; you should try to make that trip through the drive-thru a healthier one. Here are a few tips to making healthier fast food choices.

Choose a chicken fillet over a burger. In most cases, burgers have extreme fat counts and chicken tends to be a little less. Grilled is much better than fried or breaded. Breading leads to deep frying and saturated fat, so shy away from the breading and stick to grilled.

Avoid sugary drinks. Try to choose water or a sugar-free drink, rather than a soda or sweetened fountain iced-tea. Remember that water is a great way to save yourself a few extra calories on a value meal. If multi-grain sandwich rolls or bagels are available, then select them.

Multi-grains are much healthier alternatives to bleached and processed starches. They contain more fiber and that serve as a natural colon cleanser for your digestive system. Involving multi-grains in your diet is a great way to help you stay regular.

Read nutrition facts. With consumers becoming more health conscious, restaraunts are providing more nutrition information. Many fast food franchises have place-mats or bags that feature saturated fat, calories and other nutrition information for their meals.

Don't “super size” your meal. Eat regular portions. Avoiding excess eating at fast food joint can eliminate a lot of undesired inches on your waistline. These tips are not full proof ways to hitting the drive-thru everyday. Moderation is the key to a healthy lifestyle and should be followed strictly, when visiting a fast food franchise. Fast food should be eaten sparingly as a part of a health and well-balanced diet.

A Few Tips for Finding a Contact Lens   [edit]
If you're putting your contacts in near a sink immediately plug the drain and ensure that the water is not running. This will eliminate the possibility of the contact being swept down the drain.

Make sure no one enters the room or area that your missing contact was last spotted.  Contacts are easily picked up and could easily end up stuck to another person.

Grab a flashlight and turnout the lights.  Shine the flashlight on the surfaces and get down low the surface so you can see the glimmering lens.  Check every surrounding area and check your shoes as well.  Contacts are often stuck to the top of a person's shoe or sock.

If you are unable to find a contact that way, then grab a nylon stocking and attach it to the end of a vacuum with a rubber band.  Turn the vacuum on and slowly move it about an inch away from the surface.  The contact should stick to the nylon very easily.

After finding your contact, put your contact in its case. Wash your hands with soap and water and then clean and rinse the contact.

Sometimes contacts are lost and gone forever, so it's always good to keep a pair of designer eyeglasses on hand for those mishaps.  Hopefully, you have an extra set of contacts, so you aren't forced to wear your glasses.  Another little hint or trick to ensure that you have a new set of contacts quickly is to write down your prescriptions, so you don't have to go through an exam to check your prescriptions. The FDA has recommendations for contact replacement.

Best of luck with finding  your contact lens.  Happy Hunting!
